HighTech Los Angeles Middle School

Who We Are:

HighTech Los Angeles High School, a California Gold Ribbon School, California Distinguished School, and nationally recognized school by US News and World Report, is expanding our offerings to open HighTech Los Angeles Middle School!  We will be opening our doors in August 2018 to serve 250 students in grades 6 and 7 and will expand to 400 students in grades 6-8 in Fall 2019.

Our Model:

HighTech Los Angeles Middle School is dedicated to fusing the academic subjects with real-world, technical applications and problem solving skills.  Students utilize projects and group work to become productive, engaged, and self-directed learners.  HTLA MS prepares students to be motivated influential leaders committed to the challenge of connecting our community to the larger society.  Our college prep program will help prepare our students to be successful in High School, College, and their lives.

High Tech LA is a diverse community of active learners dedicated to fusing the traditional academic subjects with real-world technical applications and problem solving skills. Students are productive, self-directed learners,engaged in rigorous, relevant work. HTLA prepares students to be motivated, influential leaders committed to the challenge of connecting our community to the larger society.

Our Vision:

Collaboration

HTLA students will, in addition to working as self directed learners, draw upon their collective thinking and experience to collaborate on projects.

Technology

HTLA students will use technology as a tool to solve problems, conduct research, organize and manage projects, perform complex mathematical calculations, and enhance all work.

Communication

HTLA students will develop excellent written and oral communication skills which are essential for success in college and in the workplace.

Community

HTLA students will be active and positive members of their families and their community. They will demonstrate tolerance, respect and honesty to all community members.
