Activities and Extracurriculars

HTLA-MS has an acclaimed art program as part of its regular curriculum, as well as a changing slate of P.E. classes (like yoga, kickball, and spikeball) and in-school electives, which have ranged from Dark History to Game Strategy to a book club.

 

During the fall quarter(s), students can participate in LEGO Robotics twice-weekly after school, in which the kids -- assisted by teachers and High Tech LA High School students -- work together to design, build, and program a functioning robot to complete a list of tasks. It culminates in a regional robotics competition in the fall.

 

We also offer sports clubs and culturally focused groups like Chinese language and culture, depending on teacher availability and student interest. It is always HTLA's aim to keep these offerings fresh and interesting to the kids!
